Hi, I've been trying to get reacTIVision to receive the images from a ps3eye camera, but with no avail. I've installed a midway app called macam, and successfully got it to use the ps3eye as a webcam. The list_devices of reacTIVision recognizes the camera. When I press O, it only shows attributes such as brightness and contrast, but not an option to switch between facetime camera, ps3eye, or macam. It only shows a complete dark screen.

reacTIVision works fine with my facetime camera, but I need to make the markers only visible under IR light, so I would need it to work with the ps3eye.

The ps3eye currently has an IR lens installed so it can see only surfaces that reflect of emits IR light, and it is working fine on its own.

It would be great if someone can guide me in finding out what the problem might be. Many thank!

There is no need for the macam driver, since reacTIVision has internal ps3eye support.
Just make sure you are using the latest 1.5.1 version to get the best result.

    reacTIVision-1.5.1-mac64
This is the version I'm using. I still couldn't see the camera choice options when I press "o" though. Are there any other way to access that attribute?

the 'o' option is for adjusting the camera parameters and not for selection ...
if you have the ps3eye plugged in when starting reacTIVision 1.5 it should actually choose it.
did you also try to adjust brightness, exposure etc. to get rid of your black camera image?

It started working after I rebooted! Thanks for the clarification on the keyboard function!
