Hi Riccardo,

I'm trying to get your patch working in a local install now.

I tried an in-source build and have encountered a somewhat odd
problem: "make install" fails.

Here's the situation after doing "make":

/scratch/RDKit_vianello > ls -l lib/*RDBoost*

lib/libRDBoost.so -> libRDBoost.so.1

Now I do a verbose "make instal"l:

  file INSTALL cannot find
  "/scratch/RDKit_vianello/lib/libRDBoost.so.1.2011.09.1pre".

And, if I look in lib the library has vanished:

Any ideas what's wrong here?
