I want to back up windows pcs with rdiff-backup, but users are not comfortable with command line to recover their backups. Your idea looks good too me and I'm considering trying it. Before I do, I'm asking "are you still working on this?" "How many systems are using this?" There are so few posts & questions here, I wonder "Does this work easily, or is nobody trying?"
I've done quit a bit of Perl and MySql and I think I understand how your program would work. I understand your point that it is alpha-I think. Is the weakness in insstallation or packaging? What in particular goes wrong? Have a Todo list? Can I help fix it?
