Hi Daniel, thanks for the proposal. I agree that exception handling and moving to PHP 5 should really be adressed. Both topics have been for a long time on our wish lists, but I did not find anybody who wanted to approach both topics as they involve going through the complete code and doing a mayor redesign of the APIs. You are more then welcome to take the lead on this and come up with a proper OO interface specification that includes exception handling for the APIs.
