Referring to Gunnar's email, yes I would be interested.
This would allow for easier building of decision making/optimization 
algorithms. Any other justifications?

Has anyone looked at the features available in the PEAR graph package? 
It has a topological sort - and weights, but I don't think it's edges 
are named/weighted either. I gues then it would be technically called a 
"network".
