When building from CVS and running autoconf to generate configure from configure.ac, i get the following error:
warning: pkg-config checks are not available
This is because PKG_CHECK_MODULES isn't defined.
Later on this causes the following symptoms when running
configure:
...
checking for sys/audioio.h... no
configure: WARNING: pkg-config not available, cannot check for ao
configure: WARNING: pkg-config not available, cannot check for alsa
configure: WARNING: pkg-config not available, cannot check for samplerate
checking for dirent.h that defines DIR... yes
...
This can be prevented using the following patch, which
might require editing for portability. I'll leave that
up to the descretion of the author(s).
