Apologies as I've posted this to the Sun Ray Users mailing list as well.
I recently reinstalled my WTS2008 (Standard, SP2) and activated it with per device TS CALs for use with my Sun Rays (170s) through a Solaris 10 server. I use rdesktop 1.6.0 to connect to the WTS and have been doing so for the last year using the same setup.
Since this week for some reason I haven't been able to connect to the terminal server as rdesktop throws a "Disconnect: Internal licensing error" - I don't think I've changed anything at all on the service (after installing the service pack) and/or my Solaris server - I've connected multiple times a couple weeks ago and am utterly confused as to what could be going on?
There are no errors listed on the TS Manager or Event Viewer on the windows side (I connect from window clients, no problems). As far as the Solaris side I have access to a few user accounts and the only way I can get them to log on is if I clear out the ".rdesktop" folder from their home directories before they connect (using this method only allows a user to connect to the WTS only once using rdesktop - I have to repeatedly remove the license.hostname file before I attempt a connection). I've seen many similar posts online without a clear solution.
The only thing I can think of is I manage an educational set up and the software magically knows that it's September =S.
Any help or feedback will be most appreciated!
