We have been using rdesktop for quite a few years as part of the thinstation
(http://thinstation.org/) package to logon to a windows 2003 terminal
server. Works like a charm. The only "grudge" I have against it is the
screen locking up when copying large files to a redirected USB stick. For
everything else, it works great.
Most of my colleagues have no idea that their box does not have windows on
it, so whatever it is they do, they can do it just fine using rdesktop:).
