You don't need a how-to. It's too easy.
down the rdesktop tarball, ./configure, make, su -, and make install to get rdesktop.
To setup your Linux as a gateway, just use a distrobution's automated tool such as Mandrake's "desktop sharing" tool. Or ensure you have iptables in the kernel and run this script as root:
/sbin/iptables --table nat --flush
/sbin/iptables --table nat --delete-chain
/sbin/iptables --table nat --append POSTROUTING --out-interface eth0 -j MASQUERADE
/sbin/iptables --table nat --append FORWARD --in-interface eth1 -j ACCEPT
This presumes your eth0 goes out to the Internet (or larger network) and eth1 is your internal network. To make it run on boot, just add it among your boot scripts somewhere.
