I am working on a pure alsa driver for the sound system. I have the
preliminary stuff finished, and now I am trying understand rdpsnd.c. I
noticed that when the system recieves a packet it switches on type. When I
log in through rdp, I expect to hear the login sound except the type of
sound packet is always unknown. Does this mean there is compression on the
sound? Do we have any idea what is going one? The sound system is set up
such that it receives a packet telling it there will be sound coming, then
it waits for that sound packet assuming the next packet is a data packet.
Could there also be a way where windows will send both the initialization
packet and the sound data in one transmission, and this is the 'unknown'
Help the clueless!!
