I'm really interested in an RDP client that is able to run on a
linux framebuffer, and I think the best solution would be if
the rdesktop could use SDL for it's visualization layer instead of
Xlib, and I'm sure I'm not alone with this idea. (I've found
an old (v1.1.0) rdesktop port that did this...)
I've read trough the xwin.c file in the rdesktop source, and
realized, that it's not easy to rewrite it, because it's deeply
wired with X event handling and window management, and
I can't make it work without deeper knowledges about the
RDP and rdesktop internals. Have you ever planned to make
an SDL version of rdesktop? Or is it in your TODO list to
make a clearer interface between the user interface stuffs
(things in xwin.c, like mouse and keyboard event handling,
drawing functions, etc.) and the other parts of the application?
