I am a big fan of rdesktop - it's really quite cool and it's a testament
to the developers. I have a question to ask of those developers, and
hopefully it can be clarified for me.
There have been some patches and some discussion on the question of
running rdesktop without X-windows. As of now, I have no problems using
it as it, but I'd like to ditch X all together (rdesktop is my only
reason to keep it around in the first place).
What is the current state of rdesktop development sans x11? Is there a
working alternative right now, or is it only in theory right now?
Thanks guys! You do good work for all.

How do I statically compile rdesktop? I always have
problem running binary that's compiled for one distro
and when I try it on another distro, its SIGILL.
