I'm just wondering if there will be a move to include highcolor support for Solaris (sparc) into the cvs? I know that a couple of (many) months ago I downloaded the cvs, and there was this patch from someone on the list which made highcolor (24 bit only) connections possible (he also added a -r option in order to make it possible). This patch worked charms from my SunRay server. What bugs me nowadays is that this patch is no longer applicable to current cvs, thus making me stuck to this particular old cvs-version. So, is there any work to incorporate such code into the cvs (for sparc/(bigendian?)) or has anyone come up with a patch that makes connecting with 16 bit possible as well on solaris/sparc (last time I checked it only worked in 24 bit mode because the 16 bit really garbled up the colours)? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus |

We are waiting till someone makes one without a switch. There are big endian variables in xwin.c, so it's possible. We also need 15 and 16 bit working. If I ever get a big endian system I can work on this. Jay |
