I've been working with the rdesktop software for the past couple of months
and ran across a few issues.
The following issues are addressed with the contained "patched" source
- Keyboard mapping uses standard X (should allow rdesktop to work on
all Unix systems - not just Intel/Linux combinations).
- More space allocated for command line arguments (you can specify
much longer program names to execute when you start up).
- The default RDP port number (3389) can be overridden on the command
line (for example: "rdp_server:23389")
- The password is blanked if passed on the command line after copying to
local variable (it shouldn't show up on in 'ps' output anymore).
The keyboard mapping was probably the most critical fix (rdesktop had only
been usable on Intel Linux boxes for us until the keyboard mapping was
