Hello I have XP Pro SP2 (machine 1) as a RDP server and Fedora Core 5 (machine 2) with rdesktop-1.4.1-3.2.1 as RDP client. I also have XP Pro RDP client (machine 3). XP Pro (machine 1) has openssh so I can ssh in it and check for example what smart card readers are shown through pkcs15. I have one USB and one serial port Smart card readers installed and working in my XP Pro machine. Smart cards are inserted to the readers. I also have software in machine 1 that uses those smart cards. When I start RDP session from XP Pro client (machine 3) to XP Pro server (machine 1), machine 3's smart cards are redirected to machine 1, original smart cards are not available but the redirected ones are. If I log out, original smart cards are usable (checked via ssh after RDP log out). When I start RDP session from FC5 (machine 2) to XP Pro server (machine 1), no smart cards are not redirected and original smart cards are somehow disabled. If I log out, eiher by just closing rdesktop window or choosing log off from windows start menu, original smart cards cannot be accessed via ssh. Smart cards are visible only after reboot. 1. Is it possible to configure rdesktop so that original XP smart cards can be used? Or is this XP issue more than rdesktop? 2. Is there any plans to implement smart card redirection to rdesktop? 3. Does anyone know any command line trick to windows XP to reset this situation without reboot? I have tried "Do not allow smart card device redirection" setting from XP but no success, smart card readers are always lost when I connect with rdesktop. Best Regards Kimmo Koivisto |
