So I'm trying to connect from my Fedora 13 64bit desktop to my Windows 7 desktop and have so far been unsuccessful in getting the sound to play locally on my Fedora machine. If I leave the speakers plugged into my Windows 7 machine and use the "-r sound:remote" option, I can hear the sound that is playing on the Windows machine. I've tried a number of variations trying to get rdesktop to play sound locally (Fedora 13) from the server (Windows 7), but have had no luck.

Here are a few variations that have not proven fruitful.

rdesktop -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:local windows7
rdesktop -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:alsa windows7
rdesktop -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:oss windows7

rdesktop -0 -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:local windows7
rdesktop -0 -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:alsa windows7
rdesktop -0 -g 1280x800 -x l -a 16 -r sound:oss windows7

btw - I know sound is working on my Fedora machine as I can plug in the speakers and things running locally work fine, my issue is just with rdesktop playing sound locally.

I hope someone can assist as it's really annoying having to keep a box sitting next to me just to stream sirius radio. =)

TIA
