It is likely a bug in the code, or your sound drivers.

Subject: [rdesktop-users] Sound plays twice as fast as it should

I'm using 1.4.0 compiled for AMD Opteron 4 bit cpu. On that machine, I am connecting to a Windows XP machine with a Pentium 4 processor. The sound plays twice as fast as it should. What's going on?

I also built a version for Linux 7.3 on a 32 bit system and when I run on the Opteron, the sound is still twice as fast. When I run the 32 bit version on the same machine it was built on (i.e.. A 32 bit machine), the sound plays correctly.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,
