Hello again,

I’ve just gotten rdesktop to connect to a Windows 2008 server by using the rdp 4 protocol starting rdesktop with the -4 switch. Is it an error in the code itself which makes it able to connect using version 4 and not 5?

Is there any ongoing work to update to the newest version of RDP with support for TS Broker, TS Gateway and TSRemoteApps as is introduced in Windows 2008?

I don't think there's any 2008 support yet.  Which build of Windows Server 2008 are you using?

Subject: [rdesktop-users] rdesktop and windows2008

Hi,

I'm not sure if it should work or not, but I can't get rdesktop to work towards Windows 2008 servers. I get the following error;

mikaels@mikaels04:~> ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer

I read somewhere the this could be due to non-compliance authentication and Windows 2008 implements a few new ways of authenticating, however I still get the error with all of these turned off. Any ideas?
