#157 Caps Lock with Ctrl+Shift+Arrows or Ctrl+Space

When the Caps Lock is on and a user tries to select
words in Word 2000 or Wordpad (only apps available for
testing) by using Ctrl+Shift+Arrows, this key comination
does not work. Instead, it acts as though the Ctrl key is
not pressed. If you use the same key comination
without the Caps Lock off, it works properly. The same
applies to the key combination Ctrl+Shift+Space. I have
tested this with the en-us keyboard in Mandrake 10 and
Fedora Core 4 on multiple computers connecting to
Windows 2003 Terminal Servers.

Which version of rdesktop are you using? I'm unable to
repeat this with the FC3 and CVS version (as of 2005-08-03)
    version of rdesktop.

I am using 1.4.1. I have not tried the latest CVS but when I
tried the CVS from 2005-06-27, it did not work. Were there
any changes made to resolve this ?

No, not directly, but it is possible that some other change
    have fixed this as well.

It's strange that I cannot repeat this problem. Give me some
    more details:

    * Is Caps Lock on when you start rdesktop, or do you turn it
    on after loggin in?

    * Are you using the numeric keyboard, or the dedicated arrow
    keys?

The Caps Lock is not on while starting Rdesktop, I turn it on
only after I have logged in and I am using the dedicated arrow
keys to avoid any further confusion.

I am going to try the latest CVS to see what happens. I will
also try another type of keyboard to see if the scancodes are
    different.

Can you give me the output from "xmodmap"? Also, if you run
"xev" and press shift+A while CapsLock is on, what's the
"state" value of the KeyPress event?

Where can I get revision 1.90 of xkeymap.c ? I can only see
    1.89 in the CVS.

    Thanks.

This is most likely a SF problem. The site status says:

"... Our primary concern right now is for the security and
reliability of developer CVS access, after which we'll
    restore anonymous access."

With some luck, the problem will be solved soon.

Is there any chance that the file could be posted somewhere
for me ? I was hoping to get these changes implemented soon.
