Setting up gmail:

1) Gmail smtp:
*.google.com is a good alternative for gmail-smtp-msa.l.google.com
This can be changed in /etc/exim4/passwd.client

2) Note the SSH port number for gmail:
dc_smarthost='smtp.gmail.com::587'
This can be changed in /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf

3)
After changes, do not forget to run update-exim4.conf

I'm trying to do this and all files that I try to access are empty?

I forgot the first "/" sorry

still not sending a test email for me for some reason...
