I recently purchased a fxo / fxs module compatible with raspberry! They provide a version of freepbx for raspberry already with kernel compiled to support the module, but it does not work after the update through "raspbx-upgrade".
Would it be possible to include the code natively in the raspbx firmware, so that it will not crash after being updated? I do not have enough knowledge to recompile kernel ...
    some links: https://github.com/lixinswitchpi/oak
    firmware1: https://switchpi.com/manuals/
    firmware freepbx: https://pantherpbx.wordpress.com/2018/06/19/install-the-pitdm-module-with-raspbx/
I think it's a breakthrough not to need adapters to use fxo / fxs in raspberry!

The SwithPi module has been tested before by other users, see their report here:
    https://sourceforge.net/p/raspbx/discussion/general/thread/79cc8e84/

So far the SwitchPi team has neither released their hardware drivers with an open source licence, nor did they publish installation instructions along with their drivers. They only offer a modified version of RasPBX as a complete bundle. But maybe the situation changes one day...

You need to recompile the kernel to work!
    The instructions are here: https://github.com/lixinswitchpi/oak
However, I am not aware of this ...
And recompiling the kernel implies loosing what's done after most relevant system updates!
