    Hi, I am the author of RasPBX guide and I would like to ask if there are any plans to release a new version of RasPBX? The current version is from 2020 and is rather old...

      Greetings,

      rpi 3 sip vender voip.ms
      PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)"

      I have the script from dslreports probably downloaded before 2025.

      asterisk -V 22.1.0 and FreePBX 17.0.19.23 'pbx01'

      I installed and configured the rpi with bookworm before running the script and
      it went ok

    I'm also interested in this. The DSLReports forum is now down for few months already.

    DSLReports.com - where someone was maintaining a script for RasPBX installation - is now gone (interestingly - some people there were real jerks and used "AI" for moderation which was doing quite big damage, because they were removing/blocking legitimate links and users. But they were unable to maintain the servers, so now everything is gone...).

    Now, the install script built FreePBX 15, 16, or 17 Beta plus Asterisk 18 or 20 on a Raspberry Pi and included installation of iptables, dnsmasq, and exim4.

    But the problem is that Chan_dongle runs only in Asterisk 1.6.2. Asterisk 1.8 and 1.4 are not supported.

    Also, it is hard to get USB dongles - even used ones.

    So I was thinking... What if we use GOIP GSM gateway or some similar device? I do not have any experience with them, but it seems that they can be used similarly as VoIP phones. You connect the device to a network and it is then connected to FreePBX as an extension. They also have web API for sending and receiving SMS messages, and so on, so they are really easy to use. And you can buy new on Aliexpress.

    The only problem is that those devices seem quite expensive (~150 EUR) while USB dongles are around 20 EUR.

    Does someone knows some good (cheaper) alternative? Some DIY project?
