After months of procrastinating in my closet, I've come out with a newer and sexier RSO. It's got all the tools you need for an audit over a dialup connection, with 200k left over (for all your favorite 0days). Try it out, and give your words of advice!
RSO now carries irc and ssh clients, so you can gab with your buddies, grab some documents from your account, and audit your network -- all at the same time! nMap's been removed due to massive bloat and incredibly large fingerprint and replaced with the sexy xprobe. There's never been a better time to try RSO than today!
RSO is now in 2 different formats: a dialup and a network flavor. This lets you pick and choose what you want to be on your boot-disk, and frees up memory for you to add your own programs.
RSO version 1.4 now has a webserver and telnet daemon! Running the webset script lets anyone remotely control their RSO from their browser (or console). Remotely controlling RSO's never been easier!
Version 1.3.0 is out! There's some cosmetic changes, as well as some added/removed programs. There's enough room for you to add your own stuff :)
Version 1.2.1 has an image (ramsecos-v121.img) that can be burned to a disk with fdimage (or another image-burning utility). So if you've got Windows, now you can try out RSO today!
The ppp-connection script now runs with the pppd-supplied scripts. Its now *much* easier to test your connections. Also - the default connection speed was doubled, so you don't have to change it yourself.
Fixed a broken whois, and moved the services, rpc, and a few other files in /etc :)
What an incredible past week - 3 releases (and the changes were so drastic!). With version 1.1.1 (repeating -> math joke there), getting started's never been easier! Try it today!
This is a more user-friendly version of the disk - the chat-scripts require little no to editting. Sucessfully tested a connection to NetZero, and donated some ICMP-packets to sourceforge :)
Note to past users: This version now has a build-script to help automate the build process. You should look the script over, and make sure you have all the necessary programs (i.e. genromfs, etc.)
Version 1.0 is now here for your downloading pleasure =p
Feel free to take a look, try it out, and email me any comments or problems you may have!
Beta version of the RAMSOS disk available.
Currently supports dialup (tested), as well as a host of auditing tools. Runs entirely off the ram, so there's no need to reformat your computer. Any program submissions or thoughts are welcomed =P
