You can put real path on web configs.
Have you tried that?

RE: ASP.NET Forums Rainbow Vs. DNN - Shared Host difficulty finding esperantus.dll

A recent message in Rainbow forums "Rainbow vs DNN" thread...I would like to point the Author to some sort of resolution...can someone help me?

------------------------------------------
"Rainbow Portal looks
impressive until you try to
install it at real production
environment - for example
shared host.

The problems with esperantus.dll
seem unresolvable - it needs
absolute physical path. You
can find it for your shared host
with System.MapPath. But
my host's returns Path beginning
with \\ - there is not a drive letter.
It seems to me that this confuses
finding esperantul.dll and the result-
I cannot make it running on production
server.

I was only able to run it from my desktop
with remote SQL database on my host -
I'm that far with the installaiton.

Would like to know if I can exclude esperantul.dll
at least to run Rainbow without it. But
digging into the code will take me probably
longer than to get DNN up and running. "
