Ruby on Rails Portable / News: Recent posts

The first public release of Ruby on Rails portable is available for download.

Prerequisites:
- Fast usb flash drive
- Portable Apps Launcher (http://portableapps.com/download)

Known issues:
- Rails is running really slow from usb device. I'm evaluating the possibility to provide JRuby on Rails instead of standard Rails to get some speed improvment.
- No paf.exe installer at the moment. You will have to extract manually the content of the archive under the PortableApps folder on your usb device.... read more
