There has always been the possibility of moving rails to a network
based model where people could connect to a host to participate in the
game, however this is currently quite a long way off.
There are several screen sharing/conferencing applications available,
perhaps using these to share your desktop with the other players would
work? Personally I play with one of the PC's plugged into a large
monitor and set to a low resolution so that it's visible from a
distance but then that's a fairly low tech solution to the problem :)
