You can save properties from programm into the properties-file. So I would=
use my.properties for all user-preferences.
He can then use the my.properties-file with a text-editor or if we have im=
plement it, make the changes with a option-dialog-window.

Two propeties-files are normally enough. One for the user and one for the =
system.
