No, that is another bug that must have crept in recently. I just discovered
it as well, and have fixed it. Not yet committed, though (there is more
coming).
It should be:
public int getCurrentPlayerIndex() {
return currentPlayer.getIndex();
}

What is this supposed to do? It does not make sense they way this is.
