Hi Terry, sorry I have been extremely busy after Christmas. First I need to know which version you did download? I assume 1.9.0? Extracting and then running the shell-file or java -jar rails-1.9.0.jar both start Rails on my Linux system. Could you double-check which version of Java you have installed (use java -version to print that)? The last line of the debug file is only generated if you try to enter the configuration dialog. This is (usually) only possible from the StartUp-Window dialog. What happens if you start Rails game (with "New Game") without trying to enter the Configuratation dialog first? Have you tried to use the 2.0 release candidate on your system? Hope you get Rails running soon.
