[Rails-users] 1856 on rails 1.9.0 and 2.0.RC

Hello again

 

The attached files contains the savegames I made when rerunning my first pbem game on 1.9.0, so it may help understanding the anomaly 5 I reported earlier

 

> anomaly 5 : seen on 1.9.0 : situation : during the operating round of company A, his president must sell [shares of] company B to raise money according to forced sale rule. As a result, this changes the position of company B on the stock market (drops to lower values), but 1.9.0 doesnt update the company operating order (behaves has if B was still in it's original position before the sale)

 

The anomaly took place during OR 6.2 where WBG didnt play in right order after the forced WGB sale during CA round on the same OR

 

Unfortunately, i couldnt see how it behaves on 2.0RC1 yet :

- save file 1856_FDSC-cgr.rails takes place in OR 6.1 just after CGR formation.  Worth noting : this save file generated on 1.9.0 can be loaded in 2.0.RC1

- the next save file i have is 1856_FDSC_StockRound 7.rails (from the name I guess I saved in SR7 i.e. after OR6.2 issue). Worth noting : this save file generated on 1.9.0 cannot be loaded in 2.0RC1.  It displays an error message about "Load Interrupted", then freezes at 92%

- last file i have is  1856_FDSC.rails which i believe i saved at or near the end of the game and has the same error than 1856_FDSC_StockRound 7.rails

 

 

 

Thinking about it, this might (or might not) be the same issue as what I reported on 2.0RC1 :

> Anomaly 12 : Display issue after CGR formation.

> After CGR formation, some companies seemed to operate in wrong order. We finaly realized that in fact, they operated in the right order (according to market order) but on the map window, the company operating was not the company displayed

 

Please let me know if this helps enough. If needed I can replay the end of OR6.1 and OR6.2 on 2.0RC1 starting from file 1856_FDSC-cgr.rails

 

 

That game is also the one in which i had

> anomaly 6 : seen on 1.9.0 : 1.9.0 doesnt update the certificate limit according to the new (lower) number of available companies when one companie disapears during OR.

This takes place later, at the very end of OR6.3.

 

Again, let me know if you can use the save files, or if you want me to replay also OR6.3 in 2.0RC1
