I added the following comment into the bug tracker:

"I did a quick check with a case where shares are both in IPO and Pool, and
everything looks OK to me. Pool pays dividend to the company (minus any loan
interest), IPO doesn't.  I would need a saved file with a clear example to
investigate this further."
