1837 has this feature too.  In the printed game it is on the stock price chart.

Because it's unrelated to anything in the map pane.  It is a stock price and if
displayed anywhere, I'd put it in either the status window or the stock price
chart.

But in practical terms I don't even see a need to display it beyond the existing
"Par" column on the status window.  The only time it will matter in the game is
if somebody is starting a new company and some of the par prices are unavailable
because all the slots are taken.  In which case -- just gray out those prices in
the radio-button dialog in which the president sets the par price!
