A couple of unusual and related bugs came up in a game of 1856 yesterday. The situation is that not enough shares were owned when the CGR formed to fully launch the company. BUG 1: Savegame 1856_20120510_1824_d.rails The first opportunity to trade in the stock round belongs to player d. The game offers him the opportunity to purchase various shares, including a share of CGR for $0 - but will not actually carry out the purchase. CGR shares either should not be available for this player to purchase since it has no president yet, or the purchase should take place - I'm not sure which answer is correct under the rules, but what's now happening is not right. BUG 2: Same save-game. The more important bug to fix occurs after you get past player d's stock market turn. The Game correctly informs player e that he needs to purchase another share of the CGR to float it, but will not permit the player to make that purchase, even though he has both the funds and the share capacity to complete the purchase. Nor is the price correctly calculated for that purchase (which might be related to the problem with the purchasing).
