Phil: no that is not the intended behavior ;-) If I follow your steps on my system everything works correct. In 1.7.1 it even updates the SetupWindow automatically to select the new profile. However my 18xx.log shows an error because (due to an automatic check that the active profile is loaded gets executed before the storage), but this should not impact the Rails behavior. Could you please send me your 18xx.log (still located inside the working directory).
