[Rails-devel] Git repo problem

When executing 'git pull'  I'm getting the messages "'/gitroot/rails/rails'
does not appear  to be a git repository" and "The remote end hung up
unexpectedly". 
Until yesterday it worked fine.  Any problem out there?
