John, If you want to keep all your user settigs then, yes, just copy rails 1.4.2 over the top of any existing install and you should be fine. Personally I like to keep seperate versions in different directories as if there are issues with a game after the upgrade then you can always finish that game with the earlier version. The initial release of 1.4.2 had a bug, redownload it again and that will fix your map issue. Have you tried loading this game with the problem in 1.4.2? Does this issue still occur? If it does then please send your save files and we can have a look at the problem.
