I know that the game designers on the yahoo 18xx mailing list are aware of the software, but that doesn't include everyone who has ever designed an 18xx game. So far, no copyright holder has objected to the project. Just be aware that if any copyright holder requests a game's removal, we will comply with the request. The only thing that we have decided to avoid is publishing or shipping any game's rules with our software. This is done to encourage people to own copies of the games they use the software to play and to avoid duplication of copyrighted materials. Similarly, all of our software's art assets are independently created and are not reproductions of any game's artwork. So, with that said... please implement away. :-) ---Brett. |
