Mark, Have you got a copy of the saved file where this is happening that you can send through? I launch saved files directly and haven't seen this issue behaving differently. I have seen the case of the map sections vanishing (and I believe Erik and Stefan fixed a few cases where this happens prior to 1.4) but I'm surprised it's different to launched versus manually loading the save file.
