Jim: thanks for your suggestion. It was a little late for the new release, but storing the UI layout it was/is already high on my list. There are some question to discuss due to Java flexible approach to layout its components. But I admit that I have already a code snippet on my desktop pc which moves the Map window to the second available screen. Let us discuss this in more depth as soon as the dust after the new release has settled, which might/will introduce other bugs/suggestions.
