Unfortunately, there's not a clear way to provide an rss feed of the
mailing list. I'm sure it's technically possible, but the amount of
effort involved makes it impractical.

Also, as a mailing list, it allows you to quickly compose a reply e-mail
without ever leaving your mail client.
