#12 Unintuitive metadata editing workflow

Currently, when entering a record into the diagram, the 'Contents' panel presents three rows of controls:

1. Select whether digital or physical, and 'Specify' for entering metadata for physical objects
2. File selection tools for digital objects, using which automatically opens the metadata screen for editing, and 'Open' to view the file.
3. 'View/Edit metadata' for later modifying the metadata.

The 'Configure' and 'View/Edit metadata' buttons do almost the same thing. It would make more sense if:

1. The 'configure' button is removed.
2. Having 'digital' selected enables the file selection controls but disables 'view/edit metadata' until a file has been associated and an initial record saved.
3. Having 'physical' selected disables the file selection controls but enable 'view/edit metadata'; the first time it is pressed it creates a new blank record, but subsequently it opens the existing record.
