Coding and beta still progressing

We've found that we've had to spend a bit longer than anticipated getting things ready for a public release, but we hope to be ready by the new year.

All that's left to implement now is a UI for event bookings, reporting from event attendance, some finer grained user access control.

Over the last few months we've switched to a new javascript based web desktop interface (MochaUI), enabled CSV exports of groups and all people, and fixed lots of bugs from the testing process. Closed Beta Started

Today we installed the system for the first time on a server other than our own testing server to begin a process of beta testing within a live church environment. This period is expected to last until September, by which we hope to be able to release to everyone, although this may still be as a public beta.

We don't yet have an automated install routine that creates settings and a database, so this was done today manually by SQL, but rest assured, that's one of our priorities, along with a number of user interface improvements that are beginning to be highlighted by the testers.... read more

Project soon to enter initial testing

We will soon be operating a closed beta programme for the software. It's expected to last a few months whilst we iron out the bugs and develop the features that are really needed, but we hope to be on an open beta by the summer, before an initial release towards the autumn.
