    Hi guys,

    I have a router TL-WR841ND v9.2.
    I've installed a firmware with MESHdesk openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr841n-v9-squashfs-factory.bin.

Problem: the router works well about 1-2 minutes, then it reboots. :(

    Troubleshooting:
    1) It gets a correct IP
    2) I can connect to it via ssh
    3) The CPU is not loaded
    4) The logging is not enabled, so there are no any logs in /var/log/

I spent about 2-3 hours to find a root cause, but I didn't find it :(

    Somebody experienced the same problem?

    Thanks in advance

      Hi,
have you changed anything in meshdesk? I have found that if you put an incorrect value in the captive portal tab the router will download the new config and then stop talking to the server. I find it is best to get everything working with the setup that Dirk has put in as a sample and then only change things one thing at a time. If the router then stops working ssh into it and undo the change you have just made until you have a set up that works and make a note of all of the various formats for example if you put a domain name in the UAM URL without a http:// the router stops heartbeating the same thing happens if you miss a comma in the walled garden list. You can tell I have made all of these mistakes!
      best of luck

    Hi,
Is the router connected to your network and can ping the Meshdesk server ?
Did the node contact the back-end server?
To check if the node is making contact with the back-end you can run a tail -f on the Web server's access log file
    tail -f /var/log/nginx/access.log
Here we see one of the nodes contacted the back-end as a gateway
    17.8.20.18 - - [17/Aug/2015:04:01:04 -0400] "GET /cake2/rd_cake/nodes/get_config_for_node.json?mac=E8-DE-27-DD-4F-E8&gateway=true HTTP/1.1" 200 6060 "-" "curl/7.38.0"

    Brgds,

    Hi guys,

Thank you for the help. Your replies helped me very much! :)

The problem is solved now. It was caused by an incorrect IP address of RadiusDesk server, specified in the file /etc/config/meshdesk (on the router)

Hi Guys, I have same issue (I see router getting rebooted eveyr 3 mins), but I cannot access to check above instructions because I also have 2 more issues that I believe I need to solve first (in prder to access to the AC):
    1. I setup everything and router is not getting communicated with the meshdes.
    2. I saw in Mesdesk that router has IP 10.5.5.1, but when I go to the radiusdesk VM, IP is 10.1.0.1; Is this is OK? I tried to do ssh from VM to router on 10.1.0.1. It is connecting via ssh, but password is not working. Here is the a question: what is the default ssh root password for router?

    2 images attached. Thanks!!
