I have been using this excelent software to assist in managing some AP's tl-841n for clients of mine for quite some time now and it has all worked out great.
Today I thought it would be a good idea to update my system to the latest svn after compiling a new firmware for the v13 with LEDE, after a loooong time and a lot of googling I have got it to get into the /rd management page and I can see my networks and I can see that they have connected devices but I cannot see any devices if I click the attached devices panel both on AP desk or Meshdesk.
Another issue is that RD stops working after some time and a reboot of the system is necessary to get back in, so something is obviously not ok.
Opening the openVPN option also crashes the web interface.
I have done the following
Ubuntu 14.04 32bit originaly one of the first VM's and was previously updated in 2015 with no problems.
removed php5 and added php7.0 (along with several packages)
nginx
followed the guide http://www.radiusdesk.com/docuwiki/getting_started/install_ubuntu_update and eventually completed it with no errors.
What sould I be looking for? I am fresh out of ideas to diagnose this issue, could it be the database? I have run the scripts in the guide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS: @Dirk Thank you for taking the time to develop this great tool and provide it to us.

There have been many changes lately. Best thing would be to install everything from the beginning. If you do it and your v13 with LEDE is working, many people would be interested in it, including me. :)

Thanks, I was hoping for a bit more info on where to look to help diagnose the problem...
The firmware boots on the v13 and was showing on the AP desk before the update, However I was not getting a correct connection to the internet via wifi, it looked like a dns issue.

I undestand you, but believe me, after cake 3 migration lots of things are different and it takes less time to configure from the beginning than troubleshoot. I saw it when i tried updating also. Clean install was the best way for me eventually.

Update: I am up and running again! Anybody upgrading from a 2016 version please check that your database structure is correct. Mine was missing openvpn_server tables. I created a new database using the supplied rd.sql in the /setup/db directory, migrated the tables to my existing databse and everything works now. I also had to give wwwdata write permission for /usr/share/nginx/cake2/tmp for cache. Not sure why this reset after the update?!?
RE tl-841v13: the firmware boots and is visible in AP / Meshdesk however I cannot establish a connection to the internet via the wifi SSID's I have created. If I use bridge I do not get an IP from the LAN Router and if I use NAT-DHCP I get an IP 10.200.x.x but cannot resolve DNS.

Hi,
As i know (last check, early in october), there is a problem supporting the wifi chipset in V13 both for LEDE and OpenWRT. I'm also interested for such support, so will follow the topic.

Turns out that my system was not ok and I had to revert to a backup of the .vhd. Advice to anynoe upgrading.- Do not attempt this without a complete system backup. There are just too many variables to diagnose should something not go according to plan. I will start a new install from scratch as Manos has allready suggested in this reply.
A backup and restore feature for the database would be nice, not sure it I can copy the tables over with mysql as the structure is a little different in the newer Cake3 versions.
I will be monitoring the tp-link v13 WiFi situation closely as I have 10 of them to flash.
