Last week I've made some good progress on the NAS applet. I actually also realised a need for each applet window to have the following functionality where possible.
Although not all the data sets will ever become large; it will be best practice to keep a standard way to interact between the EXT Js grid and the back-end
This will include the following:
Having this functionality as a standard on each grid will give us cleaner, more predictable code and also makes it very easy to export the data to CSV from the back-end.
This will make everything more predictable to the user and also encourage other developers to enter into a standardised environment
So this week I'll be redoing all the applets created up to now to include this functionality and also continue on the NAS applet.
There remains still some serious coding and scrutinizing to be done on each of these applets during the next week.
Hopefully by the end of next week we'll have them completed, and so have a solid foundation on which to continue with further development.
Included is a screenshot of the current state of the NAS applet implementing the standard.
