Hi,
I understand RFID is making in big in the industry, but I belive its sometime when it will actually impact the end-customer!
But I read this article http://www.wipro.com/insights/rfidtechnology.htm . It says "The rapid growth of technology has made it possible to track the shopping habits and consumption patterns of consumers through embedded transponders in the products they buy. Nowadays Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is widely used by retailers in this regard" .... Has there already a implementation where consumer habbits are being tracked? I also read a interview of CEO who was talking in the same lines.
I understand the technology is still consolidating itself with studies, research, industry consortiums. Walmart (& DOD) which are driving the adoption have no plans for using RFID at SKU level yet.
I am confused. Am I right or these CEO and articles are correct?
Pls advice....
btw, your open source initiative looks interesting. I will surely try to learn things with your documents and other deliverables.
Thanks,
Rajiv. R
