This is an early version of the Speech plugin for the Radegast virtual world client. See the included User Guide PDF for detailed instructions and capabilities. Setup: This version will only work on Windows XP, Vista, and W7. OSX and Linux are under development. 1. Make sure you have stereo speakers or headphones and that they are working. Even better is a 5.1 surround-sound system, or headphones that create a "surround" experience. 2. To use speech recognition you will need a stereo or surround-sound headset with a microphone. (Tested with Logitech G35.) Make sure you have trained your system to recognize your voice. (Control panel->Speech) 3. Download the kit from https://sourceforge.net/projects/radegastspeech/ 4. Unzip the file. 5. Go to the “Release” directory. 6. Run the “Radegast.exe” program. Revision history 090924 1. Detect closing notifications from keyboard 2. MENU key brings up context menu on nearby avatars, friends, and inventory items. You can move through the menu with arrow keys, or by speaking the name of one of the entries. 3. Notifications are announced in a way specific to the type of note. (Friendship offer, group notice, etc) Main site for Radegast: http://radegastclient.org/
