It would be nice if there was a dedicated field to enter the IP address in the device editor. I envision this being in the section with name and domain. Thanks!
My colleague actually added this field to our local installation. He said that he sent the changes he made to the rack monkey developers. Add a comment if you need details or want me to get the code changes to post here.

IPs should be a separate entity and no be associated with a single device.
Things like IPMP and Veritas can move IPs between ports and between servers.
(Things that IPs should be associatable with should include clusters / services with cluster (e.g. veritas. not available yet, but would be handy, MIGHT be possible to simulate with applications...), port (normal fixed IP) and server (e.g. IPMP))

This is easy to do, you can edit yourself. Just create a new field called IP address and edit the tmpl files, I dont it and it pretty simple
