the version of both zxing java and zxing cpp that i am currently using is v2.3. It was the last version of zxing cpp that was as part of zxing project. Indeed i can undestand and expect that the official java implementation (which is also of the latest version) which you can access at the online decoder will have much better results. My intention is to first ensure that the project provides 100% of the zxing java v2.3 capabilities (...ok maybe 90% :P) and then consider the effort and cost of tracking all the latest changes of zxing java.
Any contributions from whoever that is interested, would be greatly appreciated :)

version of original zxing (java version)
version of the cpp zxing you have used?
I couldn't decode a QR code using this version but web version (https://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx) can decode the same image.
