I experienced several problems with the project files in the example folder. I changed it in the following way to make it run with mingw win32{ LIBS += ../../lib/qwtplot3d.lib #TEMPLATE = vcapp DEFINES += QT_DLL QWT3D_DLL RC_FILE = ../icon.rc contains (CONFIG, debug) { #QMAKE_LFLAGS += /NODEFAULTLIB:msvcrt } } but there is still a major poblem. The lib file "qwtplot3d.lib" is simply not build by the main makefile. There is only a .a and .dll file. So what do I have to do to be able to run make on the examples ? Matthias |

Hi Micha, I got some remarks about the bad display of text in pixmaps (this concerns Linux and Qt-4, of course the pixmaps are similar to what you see on screen) after the release of PyQwt3D-0.1.5. BadParametricSurfaceDemo.png is an example of what you see on Linux with Qt-4.3.0 (this depends on the graphics card: on this NVidia card there are just some badly placed pictures, but on a Matrox card there are badly colored pixels probably indicating a problem with antialiasing). The attached patch contains a fix for Linux (Mac OS X and Qt-4 work better with the old code, Mac OS X and Qt-3 still need fixing, and I did not change anything for Windows). The patch contains all my previous my modifications, including the SVG and PGF support (sorry but my build system accumulates all patches in a single file). With the patch, the output looks like ParametricSurfaceDemo.png (in separate mail, because SF complains) A truetype font like Verdana looks even better than the default Courier. I'll let you know when I have fixed Mac OS X and Qt-3 (but that is low priority). Gerard |

I noticed that gl2ps compiled with MinGW is much much (it feels like a factor 10) slower on Windows than on Linux or Mac OS X. Anyhow, here is new one (attached, sorry about the name, but it is to distinguish the modified copy with hardwired defaults from its original untabify.py that comes with the python source tarball). Hi Micha, attached is a patch to support SVG and PGF output for QwtPlot3D-0.2.7. Warning, you have to apply the patch manually because I worked on the qwtplot3d source tree after cleaning it up to facilitate editing (replacing tabs with two spaces and removing or replacing the CR's with NL's).
